MaX prize awarded at the MaX International Conference in Trieste

Recipients of the MaX Prize for flagship code applications launched last summer have been announced at the MaX Conference ongoing in Trieste. The recipients are:
Zeila Zanolli, RWTH Aachen for her research on “Ab initio design of new materials for spintronics applications”, codes used Siesta & Fleur;
Anu Baby, University of Milano Bicocca, for her research on “Adsorption of Organic Molecules on Metals: A Computational Materials Science Approach”, code used Quantum ESPRESSO;
Nicolas Mounet et al., EPFL STI IMX THEOS, for their research on “Novel two-dimensional materials from high-throughput computational exfoliation of experimentally known compounds”, code used AiiDA.
The three young researchers have been invited to present their work to the Conference.
