EOSC-hub Week is back in its 2nd edition which will take place on 10-12 April 2019 at the Vienna House Diplomat in Prague, Czech Republic. This year, EOSC-hub Week 2019 brings together both present and future service providers and users of the European Open Science Cloud.
During the event, an open call for users and service providers will be launched. Stronger involvement from the High-Performance Computing Centers of Excellence (HPC CoE) will be sought through interactive sessions dedicated session entitled “The HPC Centers of Excellence in the EOSC arena”.
Giovanni Pizzi from École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), one of the MaX partner, that will be representing “Materials design at the exascale” – MaX CoE in the EOSC Hub Week 2019. He will be presenting the “Pathways for EOSC-hub and MaX collaboration” on the 11th of April together with the other HPC CoEs.
This will be an opportunity for collaboration between EOSC and HPC CoEs will be explored. In particular, the aim of the session will be to understand the synergies and the complementarities on which both EOSC-Hub and the HPC CoEs can capitalise on for mutual benefit; for example, can HPC CoEs become active EOSC service providers? or how EOSC-hub can further support HPC CoEs activities?
This session is open for service developers and providers, users from HPC CoEs communities and e-infrastructures managers.
We look forward to your participation in these events and to sharing your perspectives as to how to support the HPC activities!
