IJS (Jožef Stefan Institute) is the leading Slovenian scientific research institute, covering a broad spectrum of basic and applied research. The staff of over 1000 specializes in natural sciences, life sciences, computer sciences and engineering. The subjects concern production and control technologies, communication and computer technologies, knowledge technologies, biotechnologies, new materials, environmental technologies, nanotechnologies, and nuclear engineering. IJS brings extensive experience in supercomputing HPC, including involvement in EuroHPC’s procurement of peta and pre-exascale systems, optimization, paralellization and scaling techniques, benchmarking and deployment as well as a long experience in the area of materials modelling, including implementing the PWTK scripting interface and involvement with QUANTUM ESPRESSO codes and QUANTUM ESPRESSO Foundation. IJS will be involved in WPs 3 and 4 and will also contribute to the training activities in WP5.
