PASC19 Conference

PASC19 Conference is the sixth edition of the PASC (The Platform for Advanced Scientific Computing) Conference series, an international and interdisciplinary platform for the exchange of competences in scientific computing and computational science, with a strong focus on methods, tools, algorithms, application challenges, and novel techniques and usage of high performance computing.

Dr. Zelia Zanolli a “Chemistry and Materials” domain co-chair of the papers program committee will be presenting MaX during the conference. The Minisymposium “Exascale co-design for European flagship material science codes” was submitted by Carlo Cavazzoni.

The Conference is co-sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the PASC structuring project and it is managed by the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS).

PASC19 will be held from June 12 to 14, 2019 at ETH Zurich, located in Zurich, Switzerland.

Theme: EXASCALE AND BEYOND

Hardware and software, the Ying and the Yang of the supercomputing community, have always been fundamental driving forces that have spurred mutual development. The PASC19 theme “Exascale and Beyond” aims to foster the dialogue and interaction among those two branches of HPC research to jointly move forward in the advent of Exascale computers. The synergy of experts from the different parts of the HPC scene will be required to achieve what we consider to be our common goal: to generate scientific insights.

Through its rich and interactive program, PASC19 aims to highlight the common challenges and the opportunities for computer architects, software developers, and domain experts in the realm of Exascale systems. As a multi-disciplinary conference, PASC19 is committed to promoting interaction among scientists from different domains, with the goal to collect and inspire ideas for exascale systems, applications, and related science.
