CODES@OEHI Hackathon 2019: register now!

The goal of this 2-day hands-on workshop is for current or prospective users of Arm-based HPC systems to port their applications to such systems or to further optimize already ported applications.

Expert introduction into current Arm-based hardware architectures and the Arm development ecosystem will be provided. Users are expected to come with their own code.

Access will be provided to several Arm-based systems:

– ARMIDA (ARM Infrastructure for the Development of Applications) cluster, located at E4 Computer Engineering’s premises based on ThunderX2 processors

– JUAWEI cluster, located at Jülich Supercomputing Centre based on Hi1616 processors

Hackathon participants should deliver an application prototype for a specific domain, or a version of an existing application showing significant improvements. It will be two days of fun, intensive coding, debugging and performance analysis: A real challenge for coders on known or unknown problems and applications. And free coffee will be available at all times.

Be prepared for an event in which computer programmers, software developers, interface designers, domain-matter-experts, and computer architects collaborate intensively on scientific applications and projects.
