ACM Celebration of Women in Computing womENcourage 2019: Workshop on “Data Science for Society”

The “Data Science for Society” workshop will be held on the 3rd day, September 18th, Wednesday, 11:00-12:30  (part I) 13.30-15:00 (part II), of the ACM Celebration of Women in Computing womENcourage 2019 – “Diversity Drives Societal Change”.

As data science is also changing the way scientific research is performed, this workshop aims to encourage research that will lead to the advancement of the social sciences. In particular, we will provide an overview of different methodologies and applications in several contexts: five successful female researchers will introduce their work and describe their experience in the respective fields.
